kolossusuk Posted January 10, 2011 Posted January 10, 2011 Hi I recently became the proud owner of a '96 Gibson LP 5 string bass with Bartolini pups However, I do need to change out the strings as they have been on the guitar for a while and i need a more punchy cutting tone than that which I have now! Not sure what the strings are at present, but they are pretty dead... I play in a Rock Covers band and a Prog rock Band so my style will need to replicate the likes of Chis Squire or Geddy Lee on one extreme and Andy Fraser or the Aerosmith bloke on the other!
