deaky
Hi all Just looking for some advice. I have just ordered a set of Rotosound Steve Harris signature flatwounds and I am intending to put them on a Fender American Deluxe Precision (the older model with the humbucker). Due to the heavier guage has anyone had problems with them fitting into the nut. Sorry if this is a daft question but this is the first time I have tried strings that are heavier than my usual 45-105. Cheers in advance Stuart
bartelby
They fit perfectly on my Fender Precision. Of course, it is a Steve Harris Sig P. They also fit fine on my Squier JV P. I don't imagine you'll have problems... Edited January 15, 2011 by bartelby
Cat Burrito
I use Roto flats in the same gauge & haven't had to recut the nut. They are on all 6 of my electric bass guitars
Roland Rock
They fit fine on my 78 P
Lozz196
I had Heavy Gauge Roto flats on a 51 P-Bass Reissue, and they were ok
