patch006 Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Hi all! I recently did a weekend in the studio with a bass that I had recently aquired. During the recordings it was obvious that the pick ups had very little output. There is a Glockenkang pre amp fitted with two jazz barts in, I took it in to get it checked out and it seems that the barts that have been put in are the lower output ones better suited for passive basses............ So I need to get hold of a set of 5 String j pickups that will go nicely with the Glockenklang 3 band pre.., any recomendations? I like warm powerful lows with decent highs and tone to get a nice slap tone with out being too over the top with the highs. Any thoughts advice apreciated.
