US Lakland Bob Glaub w P/J Fralins - WITHDRAWN

Folks,

This beauty is 6 months old and in mint condition I know I'm going to regret letting her go but I have GAS for something older at the moment.

Plays beautifully as you might imagine and that extra pickup spices things up when you dial it in. Comes with a Lakland vintage hard shell case.

Looking for £1250 with no offers or part exchange deals with other things I'm afraid. There is a nine month waiting list for these puppies at the moment - mine took just over 8 months to arrive. Comes with an extra pickguard from Jeannies - a mirror one should you wish to get more of a 70's vibe out of the instrument.

Cheers

Bill

Hi,

No subsequent mods - came with the J from birth at Lakland - you do know that the J is NOT a single coil in the US Bob Glaub - it is a humbucker just like the P pickup - but they call it a linear humbucker - perhaps to give it a more traditional PJ ook..........doesn't alter the fact that it sounds great - you get a slightly fuller bodied edge to the sound that a single coil doesn't quite muster - works great on Who covers !

I am based in South Wales - near Cardiff

Cheers

Folks,

Any interest ??

Still available..........

Possibly could swap for a 5-string with 24-frets/26-frets (hint !)and maybe some spondoolies......i.e., Valenti, Warwick Thumb 5NT, Status Stealth etc, etc....

Yeah - I do know what you mean :)

Standard is the 1.75 inch width - which the above bass has - apparently based on an old 64 P-bass (C-profile) that Dan Lakland owns.

An option is the 1.50 inch width - so called Jazz-taper - or A-profile in old Fender speak.......

I have a Japanese Fender Precision- see avatar above - that has a B-profile neck (1.65 inch width) - a stormer of a neck - will put some piccies of it in the porn section soon....

Best of luck with the sale, dmz. I'm sure it'll shift. There's another US BG owner on the forum which will give this a mammoth praising if seen.
Oh, you lucky... I play a jazz neck but would prefer something in between probably. Also important (of course) is the actual shape. But I've never worked out how they categorize that.

Where abouts are you located, dmz?

Looks like I'm gonna have to put her on e-bay...............
Bill, would you be interested in selling the mirror pick guard separately?

If so do you have a pic of it.

Cheers.

Dave,

Will try and get a piccie to you in the next few days - I bought it from Jeannies.

Nash - are you going to the bassbash ? - I think I'd like to go - could take a bass or two along - Dark Starred P-bass and maybe my MTD Z6 - I could give one or two people a lift or, if there is space, could share the cost of a lift in someone elses vehicle. I'm actually based in Newport...........but of Scottish extraction. Sounds painful I know, ouch !

Cheers
