I modded mine using the info I gleened from this [url="http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/pedals/6206-modding-digitech-bad-monkey.html"]page[/url] . To be honest, I didn't notice any noticable difference in either the low end or the mid-cut it mentions, The pedal always coloured the sound of the bass when what I was after was a clean boost with maybe a little grit. Put mine back to standard and sold it on

I had a Bad MOnkey... until I found the Danelectro Coolcat Transparent Overdrive.
Similarly cheap but much much nicer, in my opinion.
