Anyway, I would like to sell my big, loud bass amp. It consists of an Ashdown ABM-300 head and an Ashdown ABM 410-H (4x10) cab. I bought it a couple of years ago off a guy who only ever played it in his house so it was in pristine condition when I got it. I used it to play quite a few gigs and carried it through small doorways and knocked it on things etc etc and so on, so it now has a few bumps and scratches, but is in absolutely perfect working order. The only reason I am selling it is because I am moving abroad. I would like to take it with me, but a massive 30kg amp is not going to fit in my hand luggage. It is a great amp, and it has served me well. It is really versatile. It is solid state but has a tube pre-amp which means you can get a nice dirty, distorted sound (which is mostly what I used), and it sounds great clean too. It is also REALLY f***ing LOUD!!!! Yes, four exclamation marks loud. Here's what it looks like: Head Back of head Cab Back of cab Incidentally, the little lightbulb in the cool VU meter in the head blew and I couldn't find a replacement anywhere. As a last resort I rang Ashdown and they sent me one for free! I know it probably costs about 10p, but still. They were very helpful. The amp cost about £1150 new (I have the receipts).
