obbm
Thanks Jack. Lots of memories there. When I first started work in 1964 I used to commute into Waterloo Station, get the tube to Tottenham Court Road and then go and peer into Selmer's shop before continuing on to Islington. I really fancied a Verithin bass but unfortunately I could never afford one. The house band bass player at one of our local jams still plays a Futurama, in preference to his really nice jazz.. Everyone agrees that it sounds sh*t.
pete.young
Curse you Jack, you've reminded me again of the Coronado IV I wish I'd never sold. Next time I see you I'm going to kick your bad ankle :-)
Stingray5
Yep, I remember your original posting, Jack (how's the leg btw?), but thanks for the memories once again. My brother had one of the Futurama's while I had one of these, a Wilson Ranger (the two-pickup model in my case): The inevitable Watkins Rapier followed on from that! And the Bert Weedon plectrum that I always dropped
