ras52
Hi, if I want to increase neck relief by loosening the truss rod, is it necessary/recommended to slacken the strings first? (Trying to avoid metal fatigue - I've previously done a little-by-little adjustment on an acoustic g**t*r, slackening and retightening each time, and broke two brand new strings in the process .) ikay
No need to slacken the strings when increasing relief, just do it little by little, 1/8 turn at a time
