jackduran Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 Hi, I'm a member on TalkBass but have browsed BC a couple of times in the past and found it extremely comforting to be (largely) back in the company of UK bassists' talking the common language of Pounds Sterling! I'm from Southport up on Merseyside, roughly 15 miles outside Liverpool. I've joined primarily to scout through the classifieds, as I've been on the lookout for a new 4 string bass to replace my MusicMan S.U.B. 5 which, sadly, rarely gets used. I'm hoping to pop it up on the marketplace here soon enough. In terms of musical influences, I'm still a fairly young bassist at 22 yet I love late 70s/early 80s Brit Funk, disco and jazz-funk (etc. etc...), as well as having an unhealthy fascination with bands such as Duran Duran, Japan, Human League, Depeche Mode, Ultravox et. al.
