Was on the spector site earlier on and happened to come (in more ways than one) over this piece of pure filth!
[attachment=69080:NS_5XL_BEM_Front.png]

That above is a Spector NS 5XL BEM.

Body
Finish: trans peacock blue
Fretboard: Birsdeye maple
Inlays: Abablone crowns
Neck construction: 3-piece maple, graphite reinforced
Neck type: neck-thru
Frets: 24 fret
Body construction: solid AAAA maple

Hardware
Colour: gold (black optional and my preference)
Bridge: Spector USA soild brass locking bridge
Bridge hex size: 2mm
Tuners: gotoh GB7
Strap buttons: schaller straplocks

Electronics
Tone circuit: Spector 18-volt USA tone circuit
Curcuit: 18-volt cctive
Bridge pickup: EMG 40DC
Neck pickups: EMG 40DC
Pickup type: active

If money were no object I'd be straight on the phone to Spector about buying one of these, but considering the price tag is close to £6500, I don't think I'll be buying it any time soon. Still, worth discussing so go...!

Carribean sea blue, it wouldn't have suited a matching headstock. I don't like the EMG's having the screws in the centre of the pickup, thats where I rest my thumb, no matter since its a five - i'd rest on the B string. I'd like an active/passive bypass switch for the electronics, they also say that spectors have little mid-range presence but thats just what i've heard, never tried one. I've always loved the tone Alice in Chains, Ian Hill and Dave La Rue have got out their Spectors but for me they get trumped by the dull funky MECs of a Warwick. Warwicks however more often than not look pants in comparison to a Spector IMO.

...I've just monged out so I think its past my bedtime
