Hi,
I know there's a list stickied, but can't see any close to Cambridge.
I've got a cracked nut (stop sniggering) on by '75 reissue jazz, which has a bound neck, so I'm guessing won't be very straightforward to replace.
Would prefer someone with a personal recommendation, and I'm happy to travel to nearby counties.
Thanks for any suggestions.

This is the chap I'd recommend:

He's fitted a bridge pup for me on my 'P', added a humbuker to my resonator bass etc. Very good and very resonable.

Not too far from Cambridge, TJC Guitars in Stevenage, J7 off the A1M

Great standard of work, and incredible prices. Did a complete refinish on my black P-Bass, to Arctic White (in nitro) and a full set-up, cost?

£190.00

I would also thoroughly recommend Terry Chapman's work - excellent work at reasonable prices..

Maybe a bit late, but Richard Bartram has done two jobs for me, including turning an unplayable (literally - it had potholes in it) fretless Precision neck into a thing of beauty, and totally removing all traces of fret buzz from a Warmoth 5 string. He really cares.

I've only just found out that Terry Chapman died late last year after a long battle with cancer.

I miss my conversation with him on all subjects from instruments, dogs and politics (small p).

Rocking in heaven...
