In my set up it sounds like the first distorted riff here:

It's a very well built, aggressive and flexible medium overdrive / distortion pedal. It's in as new condition.

last one sounds very much like the civil war big muff i used to own...

would i be right in thinking that the green hornet would be too similar to my pickle pie to warrant having both??

Kev - the last one is the Haunting Mids Fuzz. Great, great pedal and never for sale :) Also, the Green Hornet is really different to the pickle pie. They're totally different circuits rendering very different sounds. Infact, I'd say they compliment each other well - pickle pie for sonic mayhem, Green Hornet for more aggressive lines.
