LITTLEWING Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 After a few years of combos I've finally upgraded to an Ashdown Mag300 EVO II head into a Hartke 400w 2x 15" cab (which incidentally sounds 'kin awesome !!) I've seen adverts for hook up cables and realised I should really have a quality link to get the best out of the system. I've seen a few including Monster and Klotz around. Which cable would you seasoned low-enders recommend from your trial and error stories? Quote
2x18 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) Try Basschats own OBBM -- He has a very good reputation for his cables, and if you get in touch with him I am sure he will sort you out at a sensible price! Will. Edited January 18, 2011 by 2x18 Quote
Lozz196 Posted January 19, 2011 Posted January 19, 2011 Definately OBBM - great cables, great quality, amazing prices. His site is www.bassic-bits.co.uk Quote

73Jazz Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 Glockenklang cables or this fatballs, they are my favourite ones. http://www.acys-lounge.de/agl-fat-balls.html#english Quote

Rich Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 If you have some good plugs, some top quality cable, and can wield a soldering iron without setting fire to the curtains or branding the cat, make your own. If not -- definitely OBBM. Quote

LITTLEWING Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 If they were gold plated coat hangers, then yes !! On a few member's recommendations I've ordered a 1 metre jack to jack cable from Dave at bassic-bits (OBBM). Soon as I've tried it I'll put a review on here. Quote

All fall to your knees and hail OBBM. I just got an amp to cab lead for a bargain £13.50 and it turned my Ashdown head into an Ampeg in one swoop. This simple cable opened up the voice of the amp and made my Hartke 2 x 15" wish it was never born. Forget all these fancy makes and glitzy websites, Dave at bassic-bits is da man. I might just make up a T-shirt...... Quote
Lozz196 Posted January 23, 2011 Posted January 23, 2011 They really do make a difference, don`t they? His instrument leads are just as good too. Quote
