Forgive me in advance.

Do the chords for this Nickleback song go - basically

Verse - C,F,Bb,Eb
Chorus - C,Eb,Bb,F

Some of the chord sites suggest

Verse - C,F,Bb,Ab

But the Ab sounds completely wrong to me. Am I right or do you think I should visit the GP's and get my hearing tested? :)

Thanks :)

EDIT: I've used flats rather than sharps as I can't be bothered to go find it in the 'symbols' menu as there isn't one on my keyboard.

Just had a quick listen to it... the bear essential root notes of the chords are fine for a busk. An Ab chord (major, minor or other) doesn't appear anywhere in the verse (at least within the the first minute or two of the song, I couldn't listen to it for too long unfortunately).

Also you'd be correct in using flats as opposed to sharps as you're in C minor :)

EDIT just listened to the whole thing. Definitely no Ab chord anywhere.

Yeah, listened by ear without a guitar nearby and I can't hear an Ab either - Seems to be the same turnaround each time for the verses and same turnaround for the choruses.

Thanks, a great help.

I didn't think I was that tone deaf :)

Handy to know it's in Cmin. Perhaps I subliminally knew that :) Probably not though.

Thanks again.

We play this. Your first chord selection is right, no idea how anyone thought Ab would work.

The secret of the verse I've found is not to over play it, just underpin the beat. Otherwise even the right notes sound wrong.
