Macko1968 Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 (edited) Okay, I bought this bass off Birdy a few weeks back but love has not blossomed , no reflection on Birdy - right bass, wrong player. http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...&hl=lakland Teal green metallic finish with matching headstock, binding and blocks, PJ pickups & stack knobs. I priced this up on Lakland's website & you would be looking at about £4300 to order a new one. I always thought "no Jazz is worth four figures" but this has made me change my mind. It is a GREAT jazz bass, superb build quality, great neck & great range of sounds - having seen & played it I now "get" why someone would pay so much for Jazz. For reasons I can't quite put my finger on it's just not for me though. Condition is as per Birdy's thread & it has the lush Lakland case & the tools. I'm asking for what I have in it which is £1500. Happy to pack it if you want it shipped but would you organise your own courier to collect please. Local pick up or try out is more than welcome. EDIT - Looking for a straight sale now, something has caught my eye Edited February 2, 2011 by Macko1968
bumnote Posted January 20, 2011 Posted January 20, 2011 I have a conventional US Jo and the quality is superb. I have not seen a custom like this before but it looks a stunner. Good luck with the sale.
Macko1968 Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 In answer to a few PMs, weight is 9lbs on the bathroom scales.
Macko1968 Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 New pictures type bump.
Macko1968 Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 Need to get this in to the hands of someone who will use it. Call it £1450, you'll never get a better Jazz at this price.
Stuee Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Shame you're not into trades. I would consider a straight swap for my [topic="119911"]HIWATT Custom 400[/topic]. Oh well, GAS in full effect. Time to open a window...
rumour6 Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 If what's caught your eye is my GB Spitfire Fretless 5 I'd be happy to talk ...... oh well Lovely bass, good luck with getting what you're after. Andy
