eubassix
..... absolute gem here from somebody who claims to be 'russeldaviesmusic' (so he should know better!):- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT I think he managed to get every 'fact' wrong in the opening para. (unless D.Wilkes has had some work/involvement with Zoot/Iceni .. but it's not one of his basses anyway) ..." ..i'm selling it at a reasonable price i believe..."... says Mr.Davies: yet here's where he bought it a few weeks ago :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=130465844510 His luthier (if he exists) seems to have some bizarre ideas about truss-rods (which is mentioned but not pictured) yet is unable to recognise woods !!! Ou7shined
That description is the funniest thing I've read in ages. It's like something we'd make up on here to relieve the boredom. "I bought a sh*t bass with a twisted neck. What will I do? I know make up some sh*t about it and flog it for profit". He should go back to his "luthier" and tell him that aircraft propellers have been adopted universally (well globally at least) ..... on aircraft. Jim makes fantastic, if a little idiosyncratic, guitars & his strat pickups remain personal favorites of mine.
eubassix
... looks like he's now realised that he made a mistake with this one (started it at £275, then 200, then 175, then 150 .. now down to £120 obo...) :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT but he's got away with similar in the past (pity the poor guy who bought the £40 acoustic for £130, with only 20-days between auctions.) :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=150515040814 = http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=270666083733
Ou7shined
Haha BC gets a mention in the listing. I wonder who this "luthier" is that can't set up his bass for him.
mart
I'm tempted to buy it just to stop him using an even bigger font

eubassix
.. he's off / it's up again (must finally be back from the holidays). Back up to £175 .. can't be bothered comparing with the previous listing(s), but I'm sure there'll be changes ... :- http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT

lemmywinks
I must remember to namecheck several unconnected luthiers next time i try to sell a bass. If anybody wants to buy a Sue "cough Shuker cough" Ryder RP1 bass in navy "cough ACG cough" blue for only five times what it's "cough Zoot cough" worth then throw me a PM! Also, when there's so much obvious BS in a listing is it still wrong to put in annoying offers? I have an urge to offer him £14.74 purely because of the fact he's trying to mug someone with a dud bass.
