garethfriend
Right, I've been a little careless and knackered the 3-way switch on my SBMM SB14. I thought any old 3-way switch would work (they are all 3-way after all) but no, apparently not. the replacement is from a telecaster and has 8 wiring points, the one in the bass has at least 12. There are 8 different wires coming from the preamp and 4 from the pickup so I don't think the one I got is going to work. I can't seem to find anything on the net that has the info I need, basically where can I get a replacement that will fit straight in? Does anyone do them or am I going to have to get in touch with sterlinng/musicman? It's bodged in one position now so I can at least play it at practice tomorrow but could do with getting this fixed asap so any help would be much appreciated. Will try and get somme pictures if it will help. Gareth

garethfriend
Ive just had a look at it and basically it looks like it's a 4-pole 3-way switch which basically no-one sells so it looks like I'm going to have to get one from manufacturer. bugger. garethfriend
Just to close this topic, I ended up getting a replacement through Mark at Bassdirect who I bought the bass off, fitted it tonight and all is well in bass land again. Top bloke, great service, happy customer.
