TomKent
Take it he left it on a SWT? You're VERY lucky to get it back off them, people rarely get anything back off them.
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE
All you have to do now is send a TXT to Metro, thanking South West Trains for all their help
4-string-thing
Needless to say he was massively apologetic about the whole thing and told me to never lend him anything ever again... I think that last bit probably didn't really need to be said! Edited January 25, 2011 by 4-string-thing
tarcher
Really pleased to hear that. What a relief. So do you get to shag his Mrs by way of recompense?

Is it that you used to trouser stuff you found? Are there rules regarding lost property found by employees being handed in or was the official line that it was fair game for staff to help themselves as a perk of the job?
Nobody checked.Ever! Personally if it had a name on it ( like the passport I found) or could be traced (mobile phones etc) I would hand it in to the station staff, who never seemed too interested.Loose change, the occasional tenner, and many umbrellas and even a pair of underpants were unlikely to be handed in.My own ethics would have not let me help myself to some one else's instrument, but no one would have stopped me if I'd chosen to do so.
