Jase
For the past few months I've been suffering with serious problems in my right shoulder/arm/elbow/shoulder blade, restricted movement etc. to the point where I am unable to play. It's the first time in 30 years I've had any health issues as a bass player, very frustrating and painful. I thought I'd post this link to a great organization I found and if there's anyone else here concerned with their health as a musician maybe try these guys before your GP. They're very helpful, friendly and arranged a consultation for me to see a specialist 2 weeks after my first phone call, which is a damn sight better than my original waiting time of 24 weeks via my GP. So, in about a weeks time I'm having my new bionic arm fitted BAPAM
essexbasscat
A huge +1000 for these people. They have been helping performing artists of all kinds for years, with a specialist knowledge pool of the specific issues that performing artists face as a result of their craft. I read an article about a fluatist that played regularly with one of the national orchestras. The player's own GP had given up on the performer altogether. The performer went to BAPM - the rehab process took months, but the results were fantastic. . Highly recommended for anyone that values their artistic careers
