Barabajagal final mixes from Metway studio in Brighton.

A Ray Charles standard:

An old Gus Cannon song from the 1920s:

An old Dylan song:

Two of our own songs to finish.

I was fairly happy with the overall outcome although I felt I might have played all the bass parts better if I'd actually been slightly warmed up. I only played for about 40 minutes spread over three days - usual story I guess.

Bass is Fender AV62 Precision with La Bella flats through Phil Jones Bass Briefcase and mixed with DI. The final song is NS WAV 4 upright.

Anyway, I'd highly recommend both Metway and our engineer Toby May.

Thanks for saying so. We've got quite a few more originals but we like to think the non-originals are our own arrangements and as the recordings were in part for getting gigs, where we expect to do some songs people recognise, we put the covers in as well.

I'd definitely recommend Toby if he's available if you're booking Metway. He was always supportive but always ready to say if he thought we were going wrong - constructively of course. We felt he worked as part of the team with us. Top man.
