Cardiacs - Bass

Hello there,

The bass on Cardiacs' albums Sing To God and Guns - what is it?

I've often thought that its some of the best recorded bass ever and I was wondering if anybody could shine some light on what I'm hearing; in particular tracks like Eat It Up Worms Hero.

No idea about those albums in particular but I'm pretty sure he used a Ric most of the time.

Ric with probably old strings and a high action, then Tim flavoured to taste in the studio with treatments.
Tim my have even played it.
