Mikeg Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 ive been looking through the show us your playing video's thread, and i wouldent mind making a few myself. What equipment do you guys use to record them? Cheers Mike Quote
Master blaster Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I use the webcam on my mac and record straight into imovie. The for the audio i DI my bass into logic and record at the same time ias the video. Then i bounce down what ive done in logic and import it into imovie and sync the audio with the visual. Quote
DanOwens Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 There's a great thread HERE by Urb whose videos are amazing. Dan Quote
xgsjx Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I record mine either with the Webcam on the mac & record the audio with GarageBand or Reaper, or I record it all on a digital camera with the video setting (I do this for rehearsals). Quote
Dood Posted January 26, 2011 Posted January 26, 2011 Mike (URB) uses a similar method to me, but instead of using separate software for my video - I use Reaper, which is a DAW - but you can get a free video plug in for it too. This means, I record my audio in Reaper as usual, but set my webcam's software to record a high quality video (HD compliant) at the same time. Once I have finished, I can import the video straight in to Reaper - sync it up (takes about 5 seconds) - do a new mix (which can include the webcam's mic output too) then export to Youtube's favourite file type. - It's worth playing with the settings to get the highest quality video online. I've got a few simple videos up on my YouTube page in my signature http://www.youtube.com/DoodOnBass Quote
