Jigster Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 (edited) Good condition head, good old school sound IMO from a solid state that sees a lot of professional use. Chrome plated front. The 'mute' light bulb is slightly recessed BUT WORKS! 575 watts into 4ohms - has usual eq options, sub-harmonic, tube simulation to clean or grind, pre and post eq, DI Bloody good amp, and will do more photos for those interested. Am in Coventry, but will meet within an hour for petrol money. carlsim Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 hi... i take it this is the standard rack mount version which has been put into a case??? Whats the condition of the rest of the amp?? top bottom and sides?? Also.... can you post a photo of the 'recessed' mute light???
Jigster Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 hi, yes I think so - I got it from another BC'er and it was already cased. I'll get some other pics up tomorrow and try and get that light, it's pretty tiny so not easy to photo, plus it's recessed!! You can see the blue LED clearly when the mute button is on, it's just sat back a little in its hole. cheers
Jigster Posted January 26, 2011 Author Posted January 26, 2011 (edited) bump on this with a few added photos - not a lot else to show - it's in a well conditioned case as per the carpet like stuff that amp heads are usually cased in Edited January 26, 2011 by Jigster
lyonk Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 I'm selling a guitar soon. When I get the money I might be interested if you still have it, if you would be willing to send to Scotland. If not, keeps you on the front page a bit longer.
Jigster Posted January 27, 2011 Author Posted January 27, 2011 cheers dude! scotland, hmm, guess it's just the packaging and cost
Jigster Posted February 3, 2011 Author Posted February 3, 2011 It's an Ashdown, they're used by pro musicians, and it's only £250 and in good nick - so BUMP
Ghosts Over Japan Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I've got one of these (the none chrome version) and if I had the money I'd still buy this just because of how good this price is! I cannot believe this hasn't sold yet! I thought £250 was an insane price for it! but £220 is beyond comprehension!
Jigster Posted February 8, 2011 Author Posted February 8, 2011 well yeah the price is nuts and I too am amazed at no takers - I was wondering if I'd set it too low and people are suspicious or something!!! cos practically zilch interest!!! It's just a low price cos I needed quick cash - but the cash need is eased a little, so maybe I'll just withdraw it..
Ghosts Over Japan Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 You might even be better ebaying it with a £250 reserve! good luck anyway!
coop1985 Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I may be interested... I'm in the middle of sorting my rig out, I just need to be sure that it's what I want... I have the same amp in a combo but wanna go for a stack, but before I buy I wanna see what it sounds like with a 4x10 instead of a 2x10.
xXBADGERXx Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 Hmmmm , I have to go to Daventry on Friday and am looking to buy a Bass Rig for the right price
Bernmeister Posted February 14, 2011 Posted February 14, 2011 I must say i've been thoroughly impressed with the sound i can get with mine running my Swr Cabs, it produces an enormous amount of bottom end. Infact when i demo'd it thro my goliath junior 2x10 it hand the shop windows rattling with the amount of bottom end it produced & still retained the clarity that Swr cabs are known for. I was so impressed i brought one.
xXBADGERXx Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Sold to the Badger Was nice meeting you yesterday Jig , popped in to see my Drummer (who was doing a gig with another band) to tell him what I had got and his other Bass Player replied "You BAST**D" ...... left me with a rather warm feeling
