MrT-Bass Posted January 27, 2011 Posted January 27, 2011 Hey Guys, This was brought to my attention by Joe Hubbard and I thought I'd share it here too. The site description says - "This is a petition to the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee for recommendation to the Postmaster General that Jaco Pastorius be honored with a commemorative postage stamp to be issued by the U.S. Postal Service. Pastorius is known as The World's Greatest Bass Player for his innovative techniques and challenging compositions." I really think this is an important cause, and I'd like to encourage you to add your signature, too. It's free and takes just a few seconds of your time. "Jaco Pastorius Commemorative Stamp" http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/jacostamp/ It would be great if you feel you can add your signature and support to honor Jaco, who gave so much to bassists, the bass guitar and music community. Thanks, Tiernan Quote
