Hey there, I was thinking of upgrading the pickups on my active fender precision special (MIM). I'm looking for a really detailed 'stringy' tone with a lot of clarity, and I heard EMGs would be best for this. What do you think? If not, what else would you recommend?

Thanks in advance! :)

I've only got experience with the Passive EMG's,and I can't say I've noticed a great deal of difference to the originals.(Tokai). As you've already got an active bass then I think that would be a step backwards. They do look the part though.
