MatthewKeys
Hey there, I was thinking of upgrading the pickups on my active fender precision special (MIM). I'm looking for a really detailed 'stringy' tone with a lot of clarity, and I heard EMGs would be best for this. What do you think? If not, what else would you recommend? Thanks in advance! hillbilly deluxe
I have nothing but praise foe EMG's,i use them in all my gigging basses.I usually use the passives but have used the actives in the past.
MatthewKeys
Would you recommend the passives over the active?
Spike Vincent
I've only got experience with the Passive EMG's,and I can't say I've noticed a great deal of difference to the originals.(Tokai). As you've already got an active bass then I think that would be a step backwards. They do look the part though.
