Warwick tuners

Hey!

I need some new tuners for my bass and to my understanding the ones used by warwick are rebranded gotoh tuners. Now for some reason,
the warwick tuners are a lot less expensive than gotohs, so I was wondering if anyone has any insight on this? Also, the big "W" on the back, is it engraved to the metal and would it come off?

The tuners I bought from Warwick have the W engraved, so no, I don't think you would be able to remove it. If you go for the black ones, then you could stick a piece of vinyl over the back to cover the W!
