GreeneKing Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Guys If you have a Fender neck can you try it for size on the Ryder Precision and get back to me. If it fits and you have a spare neck, likewise Peter Quote
malbass Posted January 30, 2011 Posted January 30, 2011 Planning on trying out a squier jazz neck on mine, will hopefully get some time to do this tomorrow night so will let you know how it goes. Quote
malbass Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 (edited) The results are in! The neck fits - not perfectly but not too bad and no major surgery required!! see here for more details. So I now have a spare Ryder neck - give us a shout if you're interested. Edited January 31, 2011 by malbass Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) Many thanks, appreciated greatly Just as a rider to this thread, pun intended. I tried moving the neck back and forth last night, holding the headstock end. It moves quite alarmingly (compared to Sandberg). I'm not sure if it did that prior to the trussrod excursion or not. There is little stability laterally although it holds it's tune okay. 34" longbow anyone? (I'm sat here whilst Arnie, our little Bengal man, is sneezing his head off snotting everywhere - poor fella has a cold and like most men, is making a right fuss) Edited February 1, 2011 by GreeneKing Quote
