Mr_Bond
Aria IGB-36 for sale. £205. New (delivered 21 January 2011). Could return within next three days but would prefer to find UK buyer rather than having to send it back to continental Europe. Would need commitment to buy within the next 24 hours or so... Will deliver within about 25 miles of Uckfield, East Sussex for the cost of the petrol, or to London for the train fare (c. £15). Unique instrument now no longer available: 30" scale 24 frets with unusually (for short-scale instruments) easy access to the top Tiny, scaled-down body Very light Versatile, surprisingly powerful instrument. Ash body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. Black. The only pictures I can find on the Internet so far, are at Soundland's web site. alyctes
Um, how much is "light"? And, any chance of some pics? Edited February 3, 2011 by alyctes
Mr_Bond
Um, how much is "light"? And, any chance of some pics?
The bass weighs less than 6 lb. Here are some hastily taken photos (with an old Penguin book for an indication of size - I think it's 181 × 111 mm). The instrument is very small (note the large size of the bridge and pickup relative to the body): at its widest, it's about 10 or 11 inches. The bass is unmarked apart from a light, inch long, L shaped scratch on the back; all other apparent blemishes are particles of dust (I'm surprised they show so prominently in some of the photos). The wrinkles on the back of the tuners are plastic covers, which I decided not to peel off.
