SisterAbdullahX
Hi all, just on a whim I fancy a try of a J-Retro Deluxe preamp, the one with the passive tone control. I used to have a John East/ACG02 preamp that was a great sounding thing, but being a filter based preamp I found it a little finnicky (technical term) to use. I currently have an Audere JZ3 2 band, 4 control pre in my Warmoth Jazz. It is set up vol/vol/bass and treble cut and boost/passive tone control. Anyone fancy swapping their J-Retro for this? gilmour
Is it the kind for a side mounting Jack? Because the J Retro deluxe needs the bass to have the side loading jack.

NJE
Are you thinking about selling the Audere at all?

hubrad
I don't know if this would be of interest, but I have a J-Retro Deluxe which came on a second-hand Overwater Jazz; it's a brilliant piece of kit, but being a bear of little brain I just can't cope with so much onboard control, so I swapped it out and made up something simpler for that bass. If you have someone interested in the Audere and I have a 'spare' East we could probably all end up happy! A little more complicated, but there you go.
