I once jammed with Richie Haywood of Little Feat. Had never heard of them at the time...

(actually, as I write this, I remember the other people in the no-name band who Richie was jamming with - it was an 18 year old Grant Nicholas of Feeder and then guitarist/keyboard player Brian Sperber, now a big time NewY York Producer (Blues Traveller, Ric Ocasek, Whitney Houston). I am a now a Senior Probation Officer - where did I go wrong?????

This is why your internet identity should be annonymous! We'd all love to know which celebrity had his c*ck in your hand :)

Sat next to Leo Sayer on a flight from Heathrow to Edinburgh. All he wanted to do was talk about fishing !
I also refused to let someone jump the queue ahead of me at security at Heathrow, only to turn around and see it was David Bowie. The security guy gave him the VIP treatment and let him queue jump anyway. Bl***y rock stars !

Was in a lift in a hotel in Edinburgh... [Early 90's]
with a couple of Musicians and....
A very pissed Sarah Ferguson and her minder...
She asked if we were having a have a drinks party...?
The Minder said 'You are going nowhere with these f*****g nob's '
She said ...'F*****g , oh yes i remember that..!'

I am sure it's off with head , now i have let that one out of the bag.

What kind of a celebrity would let you swab their mouth without demanding sexual favours? You're being a bit niave me thinks. :-p

I played with Status Quo and spoke to the two famous ones. Also, I have an amusing picture of me and my band and Tony Christie!

Keith Chegwin turned up on my doorstep 2 years ago and gave my wife a cheque for ten grand (now all gone-very easy to spend ten grand!) Lovely bloke-as is anyone who turns up on my doorstep with a large cheque, but he really was a nice guy.

Lemme think... well, I narrowly avoided flattening Robert Fripp as he was coming out the loo, during one of his marathon Soundscapes sessions.

The music was still going on while he was away - he could go to hospital for a week. and it would still be going when he got out... :)

And Highlander (the original, and only good film of the series) - tho he did die pretty quickly against that big guy - Kruger? that said 'yes my pretty' a lot.

Once had the (not particularly) mighty Chas & Dave 'support' my band at the Cafe Royal in Piccadilly

Fame of some strange kind indeed...!

I thought this thread was meant to be about tenuous claims to fame and not your sexual fantasies.

Seems like you've been watching some weird gay porn version of CSI (CS-Guy San Fransisco?).

Back in the mid 90's, I got a lift home from Tilda Swinton. She asked me where would be the best place to buy filing cabinets, and I suggested Exchange and Mart. I've always thought that constituted a kind of bond between us.

And I once had a cup of tea and a chat with Mike Leigh during the interval at a play - but didn't realise who it was till afterwards!

Oh, and in the mid 80's I used to rent a room from Bernard Hill's ex-missus - he used to come round sometimes. As did Matthew Kelly.

Can't think of any others at the mo....

I once stood in a queue behind Chas & Dave at Watford Gap Services.
That's about as tenuous as it gets!
No there must be more :)

Now if you want to start an actual famous person funny story thread.....

I knew a bloke once that was in a party that went to a film preview with Geena Davis. They all, including Davis, arrived at the cinema in a stretch limo. When they left, the limo drove 'round the corner and they all got out a caught the Tube!

Fantastic!!

Supported Smashing Pumpkins on their firsyt U.K. gig, got ALL of Blur stoned at a Food Records birthday party which resulted in Alex James falling off the stage onto his face and stopping their set ( we were there as one of the bands playing at the Islington Powerhaus) and Having dinner for three evenings with Gary Glitter.....

I've worked for a few famous ppl and have met a lot of other famous ppl but that's boring so here's my more tenuous claims!!!

My mate and i were in a car on the motorway when he thought he saw the singer from iron maiden!!(whose name i can't remember)

Another mate had been in the north east and bought cigarettes and sweets in a little shop owned by the Mum of the drummer from the group yes(think it was durham or consett) There was a picture of him on the wall(alan white).I'm a bit gutted i wasn't there for that one ,as i could have been.

And a friend of mine once met Bernie Clifton and he had that emu thing he rides too.(they're actually his legs though, not the birds, the ones dangling on top are fake!!!)
