Pbassred Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 There was a wedding songs thread on here somwhere. This one is easier. Whilst it might be cheating to learn songs for a jam night, a rough knowledge would be useful. So, So what songs would be on your "must know" list? My starters Redhouse (Jimi), Crossroads Blues (E.C. ..... or Robert Johnson if you're a purist) Quote
Happy Jack Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Assuming that the jam session will be guitar-dominated (as they usually are), then you'll need way more Hendrix than that. Try adding All Along The Watchtower, Hey Joe, and especially Little Wing. Always a good idea to brush up on your early Fleetwood Mac, too: Old Grey Mare, Talk To Me Baby, both are likely to be played, or will have a look & feel that can be easily transferred to other numbers.
