Max Normal
http://www.songsterr.com Has tab for bass, drums and even those 6-stringed fiddly guitar thingies, but also plays the tab in midi for you live from the website, and has a mixer to adjust the volume of each instrument in the mix. http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/ Backing tracks with either the guitar or the guitar and bass removed, so you can play along. Great for learning arrangements/making sure your line works before you hit the rehearsal studio! Both of these have just about any song you can think of if you use the search field. Any others? If we can get a load, maybe we can make a list and have it made a sticky?
Jam
Songsterr seems to me like a slower, online version of guitar pro. Guitar pro has saved my arse on many an occasion, great software
Hobbayne
Betty Lou's site has umpteen songs and guitar chords, some of which are wrong, but its helped me out a few times!
PURPOLARIS
Youtube is pretty good for learning songs too. Just type in the Bass cover you want and it'll give you an idea of the song and other peoples interpretations of it.

I do find this a good source mind. If you can get a good version the bass is usually much more prominent than the original song. I have also learnt a couple from the bass versions of songs off Guitar Hero. Sometimes people post there "performance" of it on Youtube but again the bass line is prominent. I've only done this when I can't find a decent original version but it served the purpose. I use Spotify a lot as well. Don't think you can get the free version of this now though unless a paying member recommends you. As you can probably tell I learn everything by ear - never use TAB or music! spinynorman
I never expected to see this as a backing track http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/play/spo.../rocket_man.htm
gub
Very handy .i just discovered i have been playing go your own way doing needless finger streaches when there is no need really ,i suppose i could of worked that out if i had sat down and spent some time going through it and disecting it ,but you know how it is you get into playing it one way and it sticks ! and theres always other songs to learn so you sort of dont get round to doing anything to the ones that sound ok cheers for posting this anyway .
