josh3184 Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Don't know if this has been posted before but I thought everyone might like this: http://vimeo.com/4041788 Due to the shutter speed of the camera I believe. I seem to remember you can get similar effects when filming propellors Quote
Count Bassy Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I think you're right - the camera frame rate and scanning action combine to give a sort of staggered strobe affect. Quote
JakeBrownBass Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 It's great isn't, I'm always amazed by this picture taken with an iPhone!! Quote

dlloyd Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011
Okay to someone who knows absolutely nothing whats that Thats the only rolling shutter I know.
Rather than capturing the entire image at once (global shutter), the image from most digital cameras is scanned. It's essentially the same thing that happens if you photocopy a moving object. Quote
mart Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 It all goes to show that the camera never lies Quote
