Can we have some mouseovers please?

Most other forums (fora?) I use ( I do have a life, just cant remember where I left it) use mouseovers on the thread titles which I find incredibly useful.

Is there a setting I can set to make it happen?

No please, no!

IMO it makes TalkBass very difficult to use because the mouse-overs keep obscuring what I'm trying to read, with random things popping up simply because my mouse-pointer is in the 'wrong' place.

If you must implement this, then it needs to be disableable at a user level and off by default.

Oh if you mean the whole OP on mouseover that is the worst thing in the world.

Seriously RedX, it causes you that much bother? I personally think it useful coz then I dont find myself opening loads of threads that have zero interest to me because the author has titled it as "This looks good..." or some other ambiguous toss.

But yes, I do agree that it would be good if it was choosable in the options if you want it or not

Harmony Central used to have this on their forum (they may still do but I haven't been able to log in since they changed software) and it used to annoy the hell out of me.

It is especially annoying if you are on a slow computer or slow internet connection.

It causes me bother on sites that have it. Bloody nightmare in some cases.

In site news there is a post explaining that they're in the process of changing the board software quite drastically, so I doubt they're going to tweak the existing software at the moment.
