Some chap - with very good artist skills - on the Dingwall forum made 2 sketches of a quasi- 50's Precision Bass with a Dingwallesque fan fret design.

You know, if they produced that as standard, I would undoubtedly be all over it. Wouldn't you?

Definitely would - that's just the sort of skewed take on traditional designs that appeals to me. Maple/pearl blocks on mine, though.

That's a really disorientating looking instrument - I feel like I'm looking at it through a fairground mirror. Not for me I'm afraid, but I'm all for different designs

I'd take it a bit further & have it semi-hollow with an f-hole, Tele Thinline stylee. Think I'd want a lighter wood top (to go with the maple board I'd have) & a cream pearl scratchplate.

That would work very well with the concept, Nice one !
