danny-79
Whats the string spacing on a Precision and a Jazz at the nut ?
Vibrating G String
That will vary depending on how the nut is cut but with the traditional Jazz nut width being 1.5 inches and the traditional P bass nuts being 1.625 and 1.75 the 1.625 nut will be spaced just over 1.058mm wider than the jazz and the 1.75 will be 2.116mm wider from string to string. neepheid
Nothing to add to the above correct information except the spacing on a Precision is correct and the spacing on a Jazz is incorrect* * for me.
danny-79
Thanks so far. I should of been more specific of what i was asking in the OP, just wanted to no what the distance between the strings are on both for a mental comparison, like in the pictures, thats the nut of my Stingray and its exactly 11mm between the strings, I'm guessing that the Precision is about the same (11mm) an the jazz less (9.5mm ? 10 maby) Thanks again !
