EssentialTension
I know nothing about the Warwicks but I have an old earlier version of the Michael Kelly Dragonfly 4 and it works well for me. However, I've heard a lot of complaints about the Micheal Kellys too. There's no substitute for actually playing the bass and giving it a thorough examination. stingrayPete1977
I have an early version of one of these, http://www.alangregory.co.uk/music/Ozark_3...ass_Guitar.html Its basically the same but the new one has a proper preamp where mine just has volume/tone pots. The woods used are very nice and its got a great sound also its not a bad looking acoustic IMO. No neck issues or nasty faults over 10 years old so you could do worse. I just wish I had a 5 string acoustic now, you have given me some more gas!
EddHytheTown
May I point you shamelessly in the direction of the Ibanez I have on the marketplace: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=73720 It is a lovely bass but I just couldn't get to grips with it. The Burpster
The Takamine is a pretty good bass, but have a look at these before you pull the trigger - http://www.thomann.de/gb/ovation_b778tx5_elite_tx_bass.htm Ovation are really good and this model especially. (although Thomann list this as the B778TX-5 its actually a B778TX-4 shown) Bugger them bugger them bugger them...! I thought I had cured my Ovation gas but this just looks sick.....! absolutpepper
For the OP, +1 on that Ibby. I have the earlier Ibanez AE10B and its a great a/c bass. I tried out about a half dozen or so at the time (Fender, Warwick, Epiphone) and the Ibanez offered best sound and playability!
