thats the bit where customs f@nny around for what seems an eternity, before releasing it to the courier. Mine didn't use that phrase, but I seem to remember the courier saying something about it when I asked about the delay in recieving my little baby. I could be wrong though...

This I think means that customs want to look at the paperwork, rather than the clearance being simply computer generated. It should add 1-2 days to the transit time, so long as they are happy with what the paperwork says.

If it is in the depot mate and it is close enough, go and get it yourself. I always do this otherwise it can be 3-4 days before they POST a letter to say it is ready for collection - and with Oxfordshire Royal Fail being as useless as they are, another week before that letter arrives.
