gafbass02 Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Im waiting patiently for my new ishibashi toy and on the tracking site it said presented to customs, it now simply says 'retention' Any idea what this means? Quote
Dood Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 thats the bit where customs f@nny around for what seems an eternity, before releasing it to the courier. Mine didn't use that phrase, but I seem to remember the courier saying something about it when I asked about the delay in recieving my little baby. I could be wrong though... Quote
skywalker Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Hi Gaff This I think means that customs want to look at the paperwork, rather than the clearance being simply computer generated. It should add 1-2 days to the transit time, so long as they are happy with what the paperwork says. Steve Quote
gafbass02 Posted January 29, 2008 Author Posted January 29, 2008 Thanks guys, i checked parcelforces site and it shows as at the gloucester depot, hopefully not too long, retention sounds painful! Quote
ped Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 If it is in the depot mate and it is close enough, go and get it yourself. I always do this otherwise it can be 3-4 days before they POST a letter to say it is ready for collection - and with Oxfordshire Royal Fail being as useless as they are, another week before that letter arrives.
