GK MB200 head not here now until March :(

Just been told that the first MB200 heads are not gonna be here in the UK until March
Are the ones advertised on the web, preorder or USA versions?

I have been told by a few stores that GK stuff only comes in a few times a year. Perhaps you have just been told when the next lot may be in?

where did you buy yours from?

I was wondering how the MB200 head plus the 115mbe cabinet would compare to the MB115 combo sound wise? They occasionally come for sale up on Talkbass - I have family in the US and could get the head delivered over here.

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of reviews out there.

Played one of these through a pair of Berg 112ER cabs today - what an amazing little amp!

Sounded fat and loud which combined with features such as headset input and the ability to plug in my IPod it just makes it unbeatable IMO.

Don't know what prices & duties you gotta pay in the UK but I bought mine from eBay, $249 +$40 post, arrived in Japan in 5 days & for an extra $25, the store will change it over to 240v, which wasn't needed in my case. I intend to get the MB500 as well before going home to Oz, get the voltage changed to 240v, keep the 200 for gigs while in Japan & have it changed to 240v when I get back by a tech in Sydney, and have a great back-up/small gig head . I'll sell my Markbass MKII & Markbass 250 heads due to reliability/trust issues . I may even get a GK500 210 combo which would cut for nearly all I do in cover bands anyway. Hope this helps out in some way. Cheers.
