EdwardHimself Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I know what you mean about people who seem to think simply owning a drum kit qualifies someone to be a drummer in a band. I know people are only trying to help but it's about as useful as if I went up to them and said: "ow my mouth is in AGONY! I think I need this tooth taking out..." "oh well I know a bloke with a stanley knife and some pliers, maybe he can do it for you?"... Quote
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I just had a flashback to when I was in my first 'proper' band(not with friends for parties as before). We had this drummer whos playing was very 'timid' imho . He was really too busy in his life for a band to be honest. Having said that, apparently he took lessons from a tutor of Phil Collins. Now we know how Phil was so bald Quote
TimR Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011
What I find unbelievable is that a pro tutor has put her up for this. He knew very well what we played as he'd seen a gig.

What I got back was this. It was the band that did not know the songs properly, not her. (it was actually our CD she'd been sent)
Do you see a link? Are YOU as good as you think you are? Quote
