Did anyone on here ever order a 'BaCH' bass from the czech republic?
Seeing that their Marcus-a-like comes in at under £200, I'm sure someone on here must've had a punt with one of their basses.

Is the Czech Reupublic in the EU as well? Would that mean no customs/import etc..

Interesting... this one makes me weak at the knees:

And this one must be good value:

This one looks faintly familiar:

http://www.bachmusik.com/en/p100200/bach-wa-5m-na/

£270.

For £225

Or for £200

http://www.bachmusik.com/en/p100902/bach-5mg/

which also look a bit familiar:

The German Bach reseller runs auctions on eBay.

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/bachguitars

If you look at their completed auctions they accept quite low best offers, for example 140 Euro against a 229 Euro BIN on a 4-string 51 precision copy. Definitely worth trying to do a deal.

When they've run non-BIN auctions the prices have been low, so don't expect much resale value. I don't have one myself, but people who do on other boards say they are well made.

A bunch of us Gibson fans have got together to order a bach non-reverse thunderbird style bass. see here http://www.vintageguitars.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=1408

I'll be getting one for sure - will post pics when they arrive. As far as I know, Bach will make you anything, if you can get together an order for 25 of them....

They've got shedloads of basses on this site!

That's not quite the same as the one they had before - it was pretty much a ringer for the Rick 4004, hardware-wise. That's still pretty nice, though!.

PaulH - not sure about the P/J LP bass - but I'd be up for a Gibson Victory copy! :)

Damn you tangential GAS!

I started off looking at the Marcus Miller'alike and now I have decided I want the following...

A short scale Les Paul shape with rear routed electronics featuring a 51 P style single coil and an onboard fuzz circuit. A side mounted jack socket and no knobs but a mini toggle switch for the fuzz.

And I want it to cost £120.

Do you need to have an order of 25 instruments, or is that just for custom orders to make it worth their while?

€160 for the Thunderbird? :) What's that - £120? That is ridiculously cheap.

I wonder what they'd want for a Rick 4005?
