Bassmouseman
Thats a lot of money! I'd be scared to use it, just imagine if your Drummer dinged it with a stand!
kdphysio
No offense to any Gibson/LP fans, but that price is almost laughable!! I'd happily blow a few grand (if i had it) on a nice guitar collection, but that much!!??
Bassassin
Funny that he's only showing pics of the front of the guitar. If I was considering bidding on a guitar that started at a quarter of a million quid, I'd quite like a look at the headstock, the back, the neck, the electronics, the fretboard etc, etc, etc... Jon. SJA
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Veblen_good wonder who'll buy it....businessman (Railtrack director maybe?), film actor........possibly at a push an actual musician? warwickhunt
Funny how there's more written about the company itself than the guitar. Though to be fair you'd have to be out of your tree to buy it without going around to view/play, whilst taking a carbon dating specialist and a wealth of books and paraphernalia that would help you verify the authenticity. What am I talking about... like any one 'IS' going to buy it!
originalfunster
More to the point if you did have a spare £250K for a guitar......... would you really be looking on the Bay to but it?
Marky L
'59 and '60 LP's are worth big big money. If any one would buy one off ebay is rather debatable!! As to a genuine owner of a genuine instrument hawking it on the bay is again pretty unlikely. That sort of fella needs a huge amount of verification work and will attract those that can afford a very rare classic. Hopefully those that wouldn't worry about snapping a few fingers of some numpty that is trying to scam Them's is the best years ever for that guitar. Vintage stuff fer sher.
