Seller info, From Tokyo to You

I'm quite interested in this:

my main concern is the seller, the feedback and things look fine but i've never ordered from an international seller before. Does anyone have any experience with this seller specifically, and if so how was the service, postage, etc.

The feedback does look good like. Go for it and if it goes breasts up PayPal cover you for items up to £500.
You should look into the duty on imported goods like this though. I got severely burned on a bass from the States that the seller declared a value of £1000 on.

Yeah that is one to consider, its annoying particularly given that these arent 'new' instruments.

A couple of things to note.

The exceptionally cheap postage is for sea freight which takes 6-8 weeks and may take (non) receipt of the bass or any other problem outside the PayPal refund window.

Remember that Import Duty, VAT, and clearance fees will add approximately £100 to the overall cost.

Yeah, I was going to plump for the middle postage option if I went for it but I may leave off.

The people on the "Other Les Pauls" forum on www.mylespaul.com have extensive experience of the people selling guitars (and basses) from Japan. Might be worth searching there, or asking a question.
