Status Shark 5

If the neck is anything like the wood necked Status S1 I owned, it'll be a flat radius, quite thin, fast and comfy for a 5 string. Tonally I've heard the Shark basses are somewhat P like but I've not tried one myself. Normally they go for around the £250 mark I think.

I've always liked the look of natural finish Shark basses with tort guards, despite it being a colour combo I'd normally dislike. I think it stems from me lusting over old Trace Elliott/Status catalogues when I was a young lad.

I used to own a Status Shark 5... Red, White scratch plate, single chrome humbucker... Loved it. Super slim neck much like my Roscoe. Sold it back in the day when I thought my Warwick would be all the bass I ever needed. It wasn't :)

£300 is a great price depending on condition. Saw a few go last year on eBay from £220ish for fogged and beaten to £400 for mint and shiny.
