Hey all,
Hope someone might be able help me here.

My drummer uses a click track live and is currently using headphones which make him look like Optimus Prime.
He wants ones that he could use (inner ear more than likely) so he can actually move around whilst playing.

He wants ones which can block out the noise from us (guitar/bass/synth) and only hear the click and perhaps lead synth from the headphones.

He can't really afford IEM's just now.

Any one got any ideas?

Sennheiser HD25-1? Good isolation, great for monitoring in loud environments, adjustable double headband, and light and comfortable. Not cheap but not in the upper end of IEM system prices

Vic Firth, those famous drum type people do isolation earphones for drummers:

And Guitarist Paul Gilbert uses these for his monitoring as he suffers from bad tinnitus

Thanks for the replies. Does anyone have any idea about Inner Ear Headphones? The larger ones is what he's got just now and he'd prefer more discrete (sp?) ones.

Yup, the reputable brands all make really good IEMs both in 'moulded' or 'push in' types. I'd recommend looking at reviews for Shure, Etymotic Research and Ultimate Ears to start with.
