Littlebill
Before I think about it too much about it, I'm putting some feelers out for the sale of my Ken Smith bass For an idea of the kind of bass it is (although the specs may have changed a bit), see this link http://www.kensmithbasses.com/models/custo...on/bsrcrmw.html The serial number of the bass is 5MW 5627W08 I bought this new from Ken Smith in April 2008 with a couple of options over the standard model, and is in fantastic condition. I'm looking for £XXXX with little movement, and no trades. Cost new is over £2500 + import taxes. I wouldn't like to post this bass and a pickup would be preferable. Hope the pictures come out well. Enjoy Edited May 31, 2011 by Littlebill

Littlebill
Thanks for the comments guys. It is a beauty. I'll check the paperwork, but I can't remember if the gold hardware was standard at the time. If I have to keep hold if it I won't cry
lee650
Thats a really nice walnut top on yours, very nicely figured, AFAIK gold hardware has always been standard on that model!!! fantastic bass with a great neck, a very warm growly tone!! with a really sweet high end, and a slap tone to die for, all in all a cracking bass, mark at bass direct will order you one for £3500, or you could!!!!!!! Littlebill
It doesn't get a lot of use to be honest. I have another 5 string that I'm happier to let drummers and pianists trip over.
