for some reason I like this and am considering going for it.Am I a bad man or even a mad man?What think you lot??Maybe with some decent pups,might be OK??

I won't be able to answer your question, but what do you want it for. You already have a nice looking Jazz, as shown in your avatar. Would the Jim Deacon be a backup? Would it be a cheapie for a project?

My only experience with a Jim Deacon instrument was trying out a six string LP clone. It was OK, but switching to a Tokai ALS48, which is still a fairly low end LP clone, it seemed that the Tokai was a better instrument.

yeah A/T, the Jim Deacon would mainly be for experimenting on.Thanx for the comment on the VMJ,by the way.I also use a Squier P5 as well, but as both basses have the Artec E2A preamp fitted,I need something to mess about with.
