Macko1968
I'm guessing few people searching for hand-made graphite goodness will be interested in this result; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/status-bass-guitar-/...c#ht_500wt_1156

The Bass Doc
I think Bassassin will be along to confirm it's Japcrap heritage. Probably from the same stable as Columbus, Avon etc.
Bassassin
I think Bassassin will be along to confirm it's Japcrap heritage. Probably from the same stable as Columbus, Avon etc.
Funny you should say that, Howard - remember those old catalogues you kindly gave me: This is in a 71/72-ish Jedson catalogue - not sure why the "Status" logo bass is in here but it was plainly sold as part of the Jedson range, imported by Dallas-Arbiter Ltd. The other decent-quality Jedsons from this era were Matsumoku-made, so I'd be inclined to think this would be too - so a cut above the Columbus & Avon equivalents. Wish he was posting this... Jon.
