AinsleyWalker
I have an old Peavey Bass Combo, Mark III Series, Series 260C, and it has no DI output. I've always been told DIing at live shows is best, and I borrowed a friends amp for a recent gig to use the DI, but wondered if I could still use my Peavey despite no DI output being available? Would miking it up be suitable? Sorry if this is a stupid question I've tried to find information on this topic of having no DI present but can't find anything useful Thanks. chris_b
You'll need a DI box. You plug the bass into the box then the box into the amp. Another output goes from the box to the PA system. Or you can mike the cab.
mep
If it's got a line out you could use that. Not quite as good as a DI, but will work.
AinsleyWalker
Yeah, I was planning on buying the Tech 21 Bass Driver DI. And no the amp doesnt have a Line Out I don't think. It literally just had: Inputs, Speaker outputs on the back and a preamp output on the front.
