KiOgon Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 It must have been '73 through to '76 I had a ephing great Orange 2 x 18 & 2 Hiwatts on top. Trouser/flares flapping No wonder my bones ache Quote
Ghost_Bass Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 (edited) I'm... I'm... speachless!... edit: and to think i could have gotten that amazing rig that would suit my every need for the price of my current head!!! Edited March 1, 2011 by Ghost_Bass Quote

PVTele Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I say, what remarkable tosh, old chap! Being an old un, I have (un)happy memories of a certain Selmer Goliath... Maybe that's why I and my back find lightweight rigs such a fascinating subject these days...? Quote
algmusic Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 It must be those 6 string basses. I can't buy one unless I have an unbranded 1x18. Their cymbal advice is awful too. He's never played drums either Quote
wotnwhy Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Now i don't agree with the '15s are slow' agrument. But 'and 18, for clarity' ?!?! I guess the point he's trying to make is. You never know what idiot is going to plug their bass in, so make sure the rig can take abuse. But his idea of an 18 and 4x10 being the main factors in that is hilarious! Quote
Bankai Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Watched the other videos in the series. Every single one is absolute tosh and he never actually teaches what the title suggests. Quote

chrismuzz Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Business as usual for 'Expert Village' I love their slap bass 'lesson' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyg1Zfci67A...DC571BFAC0FA5B3 I'm still waiting for the day they hold their hands up and admit it's all a very poorly executed hoax. Cat Burrito Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 He actually sounds a little out of breath too. I assume he's been lugging it about!? Quote
chrismuzz Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 On second thought this guy is totally right. I need to throw away my markbass 4x10 and get myself a box with a dustbin lid inside it. Cuz the guys in my band never know what I'm gonna do. I usually turn up with a 6 stringed bass tuned down a whole step so at that point I'm just amplifying thunder at that point. Quote
xgsjx Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I'm trying to work out if they're taking the mick or if they should have their vids submitted to FailBlog. The Mrs was saying that their cooking & baking videos are equally as laughable, with folk who clearly don't know what a kitchen actually is. Quote

Blademan_98 Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I actually have an 18" one in my studio...... And to think I was going to offer it in the recycling section Quote

Spike Vincent Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I do have a mid '70's Marshall 1 X 18" wardrobe.It doesn't get a lot of use.Although it does have a fair amount of clarity,believe it or not. Quote
